cannot access website: says it is security risk, likely an expired certificate
I tried to access a website but Mozilla will not permit it as it says it is a potential security risk, probably due to an expired certificate. But when I went to the help page it said to contact the website owner to let them know about the difficulty as they might not realize what is happening and that they need to redo the certificate. How do I contact the website owner when I cannot access the website?
(I would love to include an attachment, but your page here will not let me. It only accepts 'images' and what I have to share is a Word document with a printscreen of the refusal to allow access tab and the information from the webpage to 'contact the website owner'.)

Can you attach a screenshot?
- use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
What website is this about ?
You can check details about the issuer of the certificate and the certificate chain.
- click the "Advanced" button on the error page to show more detail
- click the blue "View Certificate" text to inspect the certificate chain in the Certificate Viewer
I followed your instructions to take a screenshot. The message I received was "We can't screenshot of this page. This isn't a standard Web page so you can't take a screenshot of it." But I have it in a Word document, as I mentioned in my first message, but cannot find a way to attach a Word document.
The website is https://justiceforkurds.org/. I have not used this website before. This is its search description:

I tried clicking the 'advanced' button before I sent my message above (I did not know what it did but figured it was worth a try) but nothing happened, it did not send me anywhere, so I figured I should ask.
Thank you for trying to help me!
hello kathleen,
as the attached pic shows, i didnt have an issue with accessing the site.
so i dont think this is an issue created by the site.
have you tried this url too ?:
Works here as well.
You can check for issues with security software.
Try to rename the cert9.db file (cert9OLD.db) and remove the previously used cert8.db file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed to remove intermediate certificates and exceptions that Firefox has cached.
If this has helped to solve the problem then you can remove the renamed cert9OLD.db file. Otherwise you can undo the rename and restore cert9.db.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Folder/Directory:
Windows: Open Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data
Seeing as how you both got into the website, before trying anything new I decided I would try to get into the site again - and it worked without a problem, so no idea what was going on yesterday. (I still have the Word document showing what I was seeing before, wish there were a way for me to show you!)
My grateful thanks to all who answered.
you're welcome kathleen.
