iOS link preview cannot be disabled
I don't know if this is a system wide iOS issue or something specific to Firefox, but I'm not able to disable link preview when long pressing a link. I was able to disable it in Safari which also disabled it in iMessage, but link previews are still showing up in Firefox and Firefox Focus. It's very surprising for a browser focused on privacy and security. I should not have to make a connection to another server in order to see the URL behind a link. Automatically downloading from an unknown URL opens my device up to zero day exploits and privacy violations. Does anyone know how to disable this completely or submit a bug report to Firefox?
/edit: moved thread from (desktop) Firefox to Firefox for iOS section.

Since there is no link for anyone to view or go to see what is going on no one is going to no what is happening to the preview option here?

Is this with Firefox on iPhone/iPad or is this with (desktop) Firefox on a Macbook or Mac desktop using macOS.
iOS is the OS used on iPhone's and old iPad's and more current ones uses the similar iPadOS.
This is on Firefox and Firefox Focus on iOS 16.6.1. Anyone should be able to reproduce the issue by long pressing a link anywhere on a web page while using these browsers. You'll see a link preview pop up (which goes out to an external web server without you being to see the URL) and there's no way to disable this from happening. This does not happen in Edge or Safari though. I've been doing web development for many years, and this is a serious privacy and security issue.
