Cannot Find/Delete Duplicate Events in Calendar

In setting up a new phone, using BirdieSync to synchronize Thunderbird Calendar with the phone, Calendar ended up with duplicate events, but only those that had originally be setup using the "Repeat" button in the "New Event" window. (Ex. a class that meets the same time, same day, each week.)

I cannot find any way to locate and batch delete the duplicates. This seems like it should be basic functionality for a digital calendar. Is it really missing from Thunderbird or am I missing some obscurely located "Delete Duplicates" menu item?

I suggest you contact birdieSync for an updated app that does not create duplicates. Or perhaps use one the the industry standard protocols to like caldav to sync you phone and Thunderbird to a calendar server.

Fundamentally you have an issue caused by third party software, so I would expect them to be offering a method to either resolve apparent duplicates on sync, not after. Alternatively they might offer a remove duplicated items.
