Mozilla doesn't change search engine is the user set a homepage with DDG as search engine. This only happens if the user clicks links to change the search homepage or they change the settings themselves. Firefox browser by default install has a default page that isn't a user set but Firefox browser default page only. If you set your homepage then you need to check your settings again.

i had NOT changed any settings. duckduckgo has been on my browser since the day i set up my computer. i use my wifes OLD YOUTUBE ACCOUNT FROM 10 YEARS AGO, SHE GOT A NEW ACCOUNT 10 YEARS AGO WHEN WE GOT MARRIED. GOOGLE HAS BANNED ME FROM ALL GOOGLE PLATFORMS MORE THAN 2 TIMES BECAUSE OF COMMENTS I HAVE LEFT AT YOUTUBE! i quit using google as a search engine back around 2008. ive used mozilla firefox as my browser ever since 2008 and duckduckgo as my search engine. last night 12/31/2024 and when i shut off my computer 1/1/2025, duckduckgo was my search engine. i very seldom go to settings or control panel. i simply clicked the windows icon and chose shut off and my computer shut off. i do NOT own an android device of any kind, i do NOT own a cell phone or a phone of any kind. im NOT a privacy expert but i do know that google is NOT my friend and that all electronic communications are captured and stored by the NSA and others. even though i do not retract anything i have ever posted online, it is no ones right to sell any info on me unless i give them direct permission! i do not use social media except for youtube, NO FACEBOOK/META, NO X, NO TWATTER, NO TIKTOK, ETC... I HAVE NO FRIENDS! I DO NOT WANT ANY FRIENDS! GOOGLE SHOWING UP AS MY SEARCH ENGINE ON MY COMPUTER IS A REAL PROBLEM! I USE YOUTUBE TO WATCH VIDEOS AND LEARN THINGS ONLY. ANGRY? YES IM ANGRY! if mozilla firefox did NOT make the change on my computer , THEN THERE SEEMS TO BE A REAL PROBLEM WITH GOOGLE!
