I updated to Firefox 4 yesterday but now when I try to close multiple tabs it says to "close tabs" or "cancel" on the older version it had also "save and quit" now it doesn't.

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session. You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session. There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.

I have the same problem they give a solution in tools for win xp but not for win 7 there is no tool button in ff tab how do i save multiple tab home page automatically for windows 7
