I am currently using 3.6.16 version of Firefox. Yesterday I downloaded firefoc4.0.1 from Mozilla website.

Now (a) Should I uninstall the current version before installing latest version

(b) In that case what would happen to my settings (such as Favorites, saved passwords, history etc.)

(c) or should I install latest version first, in that case is there a option to import older settings

(d) or, on installation new version would automatically overwrite older version, no need to uninstall older version.

You can install Firefox 4 over your current version, it will use your existing user data including bookmarks, passwords and cookies.

It will check your add-ons to see if they are compatible with Firefox 4, for those not listed as compatible it will check for updates and if none found will disable them.
