I am not able to access a NEW website I can access it no problem when I use this url: http://www.womanswayredlodge.org

However, when I try the more commonly used url, I get taken to the OLD site of the same organization (which I often visited in the past): http://www.wwrl.org.

I have cleared my history and cache and cookies in Firefox preferences, but still can't get to the new version of the website using http://www.wwrl.org

I had my son, who also uses FIREFOX and a mac laptop test it out. He is able to get the new website using either url.

Can you help me figure out what I need to do?

Might have something corrected with ipconfig /flushdns from the command window on a PC. I would expect the same command could be issued on a MAC somewhere.

Try rebooting your machine. I think what has happened is that they have moved servers around and you are going to the old IP address because your machine knows the IP address so the shorter name is going to the wrong location.

The same thing should happen to you regardless of what browser you are using or whether you use a link or paste in the url into the location bar (/address bar/) because it is at the system level rather than the browser.
