Adjust the window size, not the tab size. Open 2 windows, not 2 tabs.

The add-ons might be better for you. You can always uninstall them if it is not what you want.

You could open a second Firefox window, adjust the sizes of the two windows and align them side by side. (Firefox button > New Tab > New Window OR CTRL+N OR File > New Tab > New Window if using the Menu Bar)

You could install one of the Add-ons to view multiple tabs at the same time:

I haven't tried the add-ons yet, but I can't figure out how to adjust the size of windows in Firefox. Any help?
