I have security problem to detect refresh button click by mouse

following coding, IE i get output for my Question but in FF not

var e = (window.event)? window.event:event; // true For IE false FOR other Browser
 if (e.clientY >= -15 || e.clientX >= 1000 ) {
  return "alert msg";
 }

I want to detect the window refresh button onclick mouse position and Close window mouse position,,,,,,,,,
