this happens all the time-- I am browsing (with several tabs open) and when I click on the mneu, nothing happens. I can't access any of the menu options-- when I click on them, nothing happens. I am forced to tape a list of keyboard shortcuts to my computer because it happens so often. the only way to get firefox menu to work again is the close down firefox and start it again (after being forced to bookmark all the open pages-- using ctrl D-- and then reloading the pages and then deleting the bookmarks afterwards, which is a total pain).

noscript tends to do stuff like that maybe you need to disable it for current page. i have it, so i know.

never had it block a menu though...

Do you use the default Firefox theme? If not, could you switch back to it?

You could test using Firefox's Safe Mode. This disables graphics acceleration, many custom settings, and your add-ons.

First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)

Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In the Safe Mode dialog, do not check any boxes, just click "Continue in Safe Mode."

I don't know whether this is a practical test... especially if you need the add-ons in order to replicate the problem.
