I don't want Firefox to remember my passwords and log in information. So I have kept the settings on "delete everything" when I close the browser. That has worked for years, but now every time I open it, it will open all my email, Facebook and bank pages without me logging in. I have gone through and deleted all the cookies and checked the settings. But it still happens. How do I get it to stop saving my information?

There is a setting for passwords in Options > Security. You can uncheck "Remember passwords for sites". As for pages opening when you launch Firefox, what setting do you have in Options > General under "Startup"? If it is set to "Show my windows and tabs from last time", then that is what it will do. Try "Show my home page" or "Show a blank page" instead.

Thanks, but I just checked the settings that you suggested and they are set the way that you suggest. As I said, for years it has worked and it is only the last few days that it has been doing this.

If you reopen pages automatically the Firefox stores the cookies as part of the session data, so if you do not log out before closing Firefox then you may still be logged on on the next start.

You can set the browser.sessionstore.privacy_level pref to 2 (never) or 1 (non-HTTPS) on the about:config page to disable saving cookies via session restore.

The browser.sessionstore.privacy_level_deferred pref is used when you do not reopen the previous session automatically via "Show my windows and tabs from last time" and uses the same values.
