I like to have my Do Not Track header set to "do not track." However, Firefox resets this header to "Do not tell sites anything about my tracking preferences" every time I close the Preferences window. There is no "save" button, so I assume that settings are automatically saved.

Do-not-track is now a three state setting and is controlled by two prefs: one to enable/disable the DNT header and another to determine its value.

  • "Do not tell sites anything about my tracking preferences."
  • "Tell sites that I want to be tracked." (DNT=0)
  • "Tell sites that I do not want to be tracked." (DNT=1)
