I have certain bookmarks that I want to keep in different folders; in Safari you can do it easily, but in Firefox when I try to move a bookmark to a new folder, the bookmark is removed from the original folder rather than creating a new one. Ami I missing something?

You can copy and paste bookmarks easily in the Library:

  • Bookmarks Bookmarks-29 > Show All Bookmarks
  • (I am not a mac user so I apologize if my shortcuts are wrong) For quick work, highlight bookmarks and use command+c/command+v to copy and paste

It also works on the bookmark toolbar by bringing up the context menu (right clicking) and pasting via the context menu, assuming you navigate to the folder.

Also as mentioned in cor-el's post, please see: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Bookmark+Tags
