Hi, have a look at this article. I think you may have 'When Firefox starts' set to 'Show my windows and tabs from last time.'

You can check the home page setting:

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page

Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.

If this didn't help then check for problems with the preferences.
