Why do some email messages fail to load with Firefox, but do so with Safara and IE?
I have an email account with Yahoo.com and I receive my mail on a W8.1 desktop PC and an iPad. The desktop uses Firefox 41.0.2 as browser; the iPad uses Safari.
Using the desktop, I find that many (but not all) of the messages I see in the list of incoming messages fail to display, i.e. they fail to complete downloading after I click them. If I click on any of those errant messages on the iPad, however, it loads immediately.
If I close Firefox on the desktop and switch to IE and then access the Yahoo email account, the errant message <does> display.
I conclude that the problem is with Firefox, right? Can someone please tell me how I can fix that bug so that I can download all my incoming messages on the desktop?
I want to delete and then reload Firefox to see if that fixes the problem. Can someone please tell me how I save and restore all my bookmarks in the process?
Thanks.

Feedback: I cleaned out my cache and temporary computer files using Old Timer TFC and that seemed to cure the problem. Thanks for your help. ...wdc202

FredMcD: Many thanks but, a beginner, I am a little overwhelmed . May I ask for some more hand-holding before I plunge ahead?
The Warning re Remove Cookies – does “This will log you out of sites you're logged into.” mean that I will need to reregister on all my bookmarked sites? If I clear cache and remove cookies will I lose all my bookmarks?
Isn't there a way to Save the bookmarks and reinstall them later?

Cookies are information other computers store on your system about you, user data, page setup . . . . . Cache is data the browser keeps on hand so as to not have to download it again,
These are temporary files and can be removed without harm. Anything the browser needs is downloaded fresh.
Not just harmless. Better write down all your login info for all the websites you visit. Removing cookies is a pain in the butt. No more auto logins, no more keeping you logged in, messes all your auto complete stuff for lots of sites. will have to re enter all your info on every site you visit. will have to answer all those questions again "Wana stay loged in?", "Wana save this login?", "Don't ask me again" etc...
