I use a master password prompt on Firefox (and Thunderbird) on my laptop. However, after I enter the master password prompt, it will not ask for it again until the browser closes. This is understandable, as it would be annoying to enter it every time.

However, there are occasions where I would like to require the master password prompt *again*, without closing and reopening the browser. For example, if I close the laptop the computer suspends, but if it were stolen, an intelligent attacker could easily bypass my login screen and would have an open firefox with instantaneous access to *all* of my websites because the passwords are stolen.

Ideally, I'm looking for a terminal/command-line option for this, as it will let me re-require the prompt with a script (eg, on suspend or hibernate), but really any method to make this happen would be ideal.

Is this possible?
