The only thing I can think of right now, is to suggest that you contact the developer of the add-on.
The fact that the problem started right after reinstalling Windows,   might not be a coincidence.
But let's see what Sam has to say first.

I submitted a help request to SamFind virtually immediately after getting the response above. Still no reply from them. Can anyone at Mozilla put a little pressure on them to reply?

Afraid not   -   neither Sam nor we, contributors, are Mozilla employees. For the main part, contributors, like yours truly, are volunteers, and doing this in our spare time. Now, you go and put some pressure on Sam :   tell him that you have posted a question about this here, a public forum, where everybody can see it   .......

Separate issue :
Your system details show that you have installed : Shockwave Flash 25.0 r0   (which is the latest version) Shockwave Flash 21.0 r0 Shockwave Flash 11.8 r800 Shockwave Flash 11.5 r502

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. T Then get the current full installer :

Then reinstall the latest version.

Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).
