Colour of Calendar (Lightning) reminder pop up
Hello
I'm not sure where Lightening colour gets its colours from, Thunderbird or Windows but my reminder pop ups are unreadable with black font on a very dark blue background.
I've tried changing this via Windows 7 display but without success and anyway, I don't really want to change an entire colour scheme due to one pop up window.
But how do I change the colours of this pop up? I can change the "title bar" using windows but nothing seems to work on what's below it.
Thanks

I’m not sure if it still works, but you could try installing the Lightning Colors Reminder add-on. That add-on seems to use the colors for the calendar itself (if configured) and does not allow you to set another color for the reminder, but slightly changing the calendar color (in its Properties) would be a small step.
Hello
Unfortunately this didn't help
In fact, the dark blue background seems to occur elsewhere and the problem is due to the fact that some boxes have black text For example, in the attached image, I'm in views (not calendar) and as the text is in black, the result is the choice you click on becomes unreadable. But I can't figure out how to change the colour of the dark blue when activated. The software installed for calendars did not work on this problem Any other ideas please? thanks
This is not part of reminders, but anyhow: are you using a particular theme for Thunderbird (choose Add-ons > Appearance), other than its default theme? Those boxes should not be dark blue by default, as far as I know.
You could also try toggling the value for calendar.view.useSystemColors in the Config Editor (in Options > Advanced panel > General tab). Its default value is false but it could be set to true nevertheless, causing Thunderbird to use system colors in minimonth and calendar views.
Hello Tonnes
it's true that I have a large number of add ons to change Thunderbird as I'm in front of my computer all day for work (eye -strain) and it's also a question of organisation No doubt one of these softwares is the culprit but they are all for changing font size, colour, folder colours etc. I just can't seem to find anything to change the active windows in Thunderbird but no other software outside of Thunderbird has this problem.
Thanks anyway
You could start Thunderbird in Safe Mode as described here to see if everything displays as normal using default colors. If so, restart in normal mode, disable all add-ons manually (restart Thunderbird if required) and enable them one by one to see which one is responsible.
