Your most recent update has made it so that when I open a new tab it no longer shows my most visited sites. How do I get this feature back?
When I open a new tab I am just getting a completely blank screen. I want it to show my most visited/most recent sites like it used to. I've read through other solutions that have worked for others, but none of them seem to work for me. I don't have the little gear icon showing up when I open a new tab to choose to set it to show my top sites... so I'm not sure how to fix this. It worked fine until Firefox updated on me today.

Firefox would by default open the about:newtab page if you open a new tab.
Does it work if you open about:newtab via the location/address bar?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
- do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

HI !
That must be very annoying.
You could consider to Refresh Firefox to see if that will bring back the
new tab page the way it used to look.
If that doesn't do the trick, you could give this add-on a try (WebExtension) :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-tools/
or (also WebExtension) :
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-override/

nothing here is helpful and the latest update made almost every daddon useless, particularly noscript, so thanks, I am off to chrome now
