FF 52, Lubuntu

Hello,

i seen that at one time my web browser apparently made 270 connections which seems too many and i would like to ask on how to log what caused this. It is like maybe once a day this happen.

i am using SSH Socks proxy in my Firefox / Advanced / Network configuration.

On the proxy (Linux CentOS) is a monitor which alert me when too many connections at a time. Here is the example of connections:

tcp 0 0 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:48902 TIME_WAIT tcp 0 0 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:48704 TIME_WAIT tcp 0 0 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:48296 TIME_WAIT tcp 0 0 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:48100 TIME_WAIT tcp 0 0 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:48896 TIME_WAIT tcp 0 3419 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:49090 ESTABLISHED tcp 0 0 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:48894 TIME_WAIT tcp 0 0 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:49138 ESTABLISHED tcp 0 0 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:48748 TIME_WAIT tcp 0 0 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:48946 ESTABLISHED tcp 0 0 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:48904 ESTABLISHED tcp 0 0 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:48120 TIME_WAIT tcp 0 0 proxyiphere:44422 homeiphere:47956 ESTABLISHED

total 270 at a time (It is "netstat" output run at proxy at the time it happened)

I have not assigned this proxy to other app than firefox and i do not know when this issue happen again, usually like once a day. I am using sync, usually max. 15 tabs open.

Please how to log to debug cause? Actualy i would like to ban Ips with too many connections but seems i should be raising limits to very high connection counts.

UPDATE: about:networking is nice feature, shows current status, it has logging, but it is extremely verbose: timestamp,sync,nsHttp:5,nsSocketTransport:5,nsStreamPump:5,nsHostResolver:5

Maybe check the about:networking page via the location/address bar.
