When going to sites like IRS.gov, when I click on a document to display, I have always seen the document displayed. Recently, something changed so that nothing seems to happen when I click on the document but I noticed that the download ICON is activated and that the entire document is downloaded to my DOWNLOADS file. This has happened for several different websites that I have accessed in the last couple of weeks. The documents are PDFs that can be displayed with the Adobe Acrobat reader. My guess is that something in my Firefox has changed so that the Acrobat reader is not invoked to just display the document and instead just downloads it. I checked this out with Internet Explorer and everything works there, so it is clearly a problem with Firefox.

Hi, please go to Options --> General --> Down to Applications and look on the list for PDF and then Click the application to activate right side menu and change it from Download to Ask or what ever it is you would like it to do that the option supports. Leave that page open and find a pdf file to click on and see what happens. If Your Preference changes and it downloads then there is possibly something wrong with your Profile as it is not saving to it.

Please let us know if the above solved the issue or if need further help.
