Firefox is not a email client. Please explain more fully or you maybe looking to use Thunderbird as a email client. https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/

If you are accustomed to using AOL's email site in Internet Explorer or another browser, try logging into the site in Firefox to see how it is similar/different. Most likely all your mail folders are on AOL's servers and can be viewed using any browser, but there's only one way to know for sure.

I should have been more explicit, I am referring to messages in my PFC maintained on my computer. Is there a way to transfer these folders to reflect in Firefox?

Firefox does not have a similar database for emails. You perhaps could upload them to a new mail account, or use a tool to convert messages in the PFC to another format (I don't know which ones are reliable and trustworthy), or keep using the PFC through the AOL software as long as it can still run.
