When I mistakenly or otherwise delete an email and want to bring it back to my inbox, I can't seem to do so. I prefer to drag it from the trash folder to Inbox, but when I try, it stays in Trash and my view changes to Inbox, but the email is not there. I try right clicking the email in Trash and then choose Move and Inbox, but this only works occasionally, usually not at all.

We see this when anti virus programs are allowed to scan the Thunderbird profile folders. I suggest you try creating an exception in your anti virus product for the Thunderbird profile folder, it's imapmail and mail folder and their sub folders

The only anti virus I'm running is the stock Windows 10 defender. Is that a culprit in this behavior?
