I would like to print out the Search, Privacy & Security, etc settings in Firefox. I'd like to have a hard copy for reference. Doing several screen prints will work but that seems like a waste of paper due to all the white space between the lines.

Is there a way to print a nice organized tree or listing?

I have not set up Google Cloud Print, however I do have a Firefox add-on that lets me print web pages & remove areas I don't want.

Problem is that "about:preferences" in the address bar is not recognized as a valid url. Probably because it's not a web page and is an internal display of my FF settings.

Using "about:preferences" brings up the same information as using the FF > Tools > Options menu. Either way it's a pretty looking interface, unlike when using "about:config" in the address bar which shows just lines of text.

Firefox does not have a way to make a printout of its settings.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

Sorry, the internal about: pages (about:preferences, about:config, etc) can't be accessed via an add-on, nor can they be accessed for printing. I suspect that is a security measure to limit add-on access to prefs that can be changed via nefarious code. I have a few add-ons installed that mentioned that access was blocked upon installation of the add-on and that message went so far as to display what was being blocked; as far as "privileged" pages go.

NoScript is one that displays this message This is a privileged page, whose permissions cannot be configured. that appears when attempting to access the settings for what is / is not blocked to change its settings.

Also, I have at least one add-on that has a preference dialog that allows the user to edit (add) internal URI's to add to that list of what is blocked
