Is there a way to get ff android to follow the page 'color' on the navigation bar. Ditto for the android navigation bar (I believe the app can determine the system navigation bar color)

There is a new version of Firefox for Android due very soon that does have a built in dark mode (that is very good).

It will not change based on page colour, but may help with the contrast issue you are seeing.
