I recieved 2 .ics files that I tried to add into Calendar. The cursor turned around and the event did not appear in Calendar and was not present in .thunderbird/uveqeqlt.default/calendar-data/local.sqlite. So I removed the .ics files from Desktop and Trash and cleared Thunderbird cache. Unfortunately the .ics files reappear on Desktop after each restart of the computer. Any idea on how to get rid off these ennoying files?

Clear as mud.

Unfortunately the .ics files reappear on Desktop after each restart of the computer.

This has got nothing to do with Thunderbird. I'd suggest you ask in a forum for your distribution.
