Hello,

I'm a dedicated Firefox user and am so grateful for this amazing product and the team that keeps it running.

I recently caved and got a Chromebook but only because I was convinced that I could install the full desktop version of Firefox on it via Linux.

However, i haven't been successful when following the steps on Mozilla's site. My brand new Chromebook is running Chrome 87.0

I was able to install flatpak but not the repositories. I tried a workaround by trying to install Firefox ESR (not my preference) and hit a 404 error with that too.

I have no experience with Linux, so I'm very ignorant about how to enter commands. But I have been typing the instructed commands in verbatim (and yes I'm sure they are accurate) and I keep getting failures.

I'm wondering if there has been a change from flatpak or chrome or firefox that requires udpated installation instructions?

I'm very grateful for any help you can provide.

Thank you, Jennifer
