Hi there, my hard disk failed and with a new hard disk I am trying to reconnect Thunderbird so I can get my emails on the laptop. oh, I read an answer to a similar query and it seems that the password needed is the password for your email provider. Mine is BT. So I tried my BT emails password and it work. I now have managed to receive emails, phew, glad I got that sorted!
