How to keep browsing history of individual tabs.
Hi, it has occurred to me that I lose the browsing history of tabs that were open for a long time. By browsing history i mean the sites that show up in "Go back one page" arrow. The issue is that after a website has been open for some time (this seems to be in range of days, perhaps weeks) the browsing history of that tab is forgotten and the Go back one page arrow goes blank. I would like to be able to keep this history for eternity, is there any way to enable that?
To be clear, I use the feature to save tabs of my previous sessions and also the Simple Tab Groups extension.
Thanks in advance, Alex

There is this pref on the about:config page.
- about:config => browser.sessionstore.cleanup.forget_closed_after 1209600000
// Forget closed windows/tabs after two weeks
Oh it can be set to no more than int32 max. What a pity, that only allows for 3.5 weeks at most. Do you know any way to exceed this limit? Thanks, Alex
My tab session has never lost back navigation history regardless of the age of the tab. The default limit is 10 entries per tab according to browser.sessionstore.max_serialize_back in about:config.
Tab session manager extensions do not preserve back navigation history, some extensions might clear it and it is also cleared when clearing History (Ctrl+Shift+Del) with "Browsing & download history" ticked.
