Firefox (and IE 8) are having trouble with survey websites of a particular kind
For the past week or two, certain websites ( http://ups.surveyrouter.com/SurveyTrafficUI/STMUI/Page.aspx?pgtid=19&ptid=46&c=CD4909&ids=5785421&utcoffset=7) for survey companies (creationrewards, opinionoutpost, inboxdollars, sendearnings, etc). The all have webpages where for some of the surveys, you need to fill out some data with some being drop down box and other parts being typed in.
After filling out the required information, I click on next to continue the survey, only I get an error screen saying "We are experiencing technical difficulties, please try again later". But the sites are not experiencing the difficulties, my computer is.

There are several reasons why the website might be producing errors.
- Bad item stored in the Browser Cache: Follow the steps at How to clear the Firefox cache.
- Cookies not enabled: Cookies must be enabled for many websites to work. If they are disabled, follow the steps at Enhanced Tracking Protection in Firefox for desktop
- Images are blocked/disabled: see Fix problems that cause images to not show
- Plug-ins are outdated: check for outdated plugins on the plugin check page.
- Firewall software is blocking some resources on the page: see Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet
- An extension may be causing the problem: see Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems

Take a look at the computer clock. I fixed mine after two days of trying everything suggested.
