Firefox uses a different method to create toolbars than IE, and a toolbar created for IE will not work in Firefox.

Check the site that created the toolbar for IE to see if they have a version of the toolbar for Firefox. I am guessing from your post that it is a Comcast toolbar, so check with Comcast for a Firefox version of the toolbar.
