Right click any toolbar, in the dropdown menu that appears, select Customize. You should see the dialog box shown in the screenshot below. There should be icons you can drag to the addon bar.

Did what u said. Have tried this before.Problem is, the add-on i installed is not in the group that is available to drag. It does show up in the add-on manager box,but i can't drag from there. joe
