This is only happening on Firefox 4.0. When I download any file and press Save File. It'tt start to download it to my specified folder, but as soon as it finishes downloading the file disappears. i can even open it from the downloaded tab on firefox.

It depends on what you've got configured in Tools | Options | General. See screenshot which is how I have mine setup.

If you've configured FF to download to a specific folder, that's where they'll go.

I've also noticed myself that Windows 7 doesn't like downloading to any folder other than "Downloads" regardless of what the user wants to do.
