If you have the Adblock Plus extension with the EasyList US filter subscription popup blocking is almost redundant. Adblock Plus itself can be enable/disabled from its toolbar button (ADP).

To turn off pop-up blocking in firefox

Tools > Options > Content
(uncheck) Block pop-up windows

or include the site in the Exceptions button to the right.
