It looks that there is a serious problem with that latest Java update if I search internet and this forum and that Apple needs to fix this in an update.

You probably need to revert to the previous Java update to get it working until Apple releases an update that works better.

If you can restore the previous version from the Time Machine or otherwise then you may be lucky because I can't find a link on the Apple download site.

I have found since my above post that Apple has removed support for the Java Plugin2 in the Java Update 10 for OS X 10.5, so it won't come back.

See:

The only way to get Java running with Firefox is use a parallel installation of a Firefox version that supports the Java Embedding Plugin and start that version for sites that require Java.
I don't know if the latest release of Firefox 3.6.x on Mac still has the embedding Java plugin.

See this article about how to install multiple versions on Mac OS X:

For now I'll just use safari for the sites that need java. Hopefully the safari java, or whatever it is that is allowing it to work correctly, will continue to work. If that stops then i will be able to use the Firefox multiple version downloads you provided me with. Thank you VERY much again! =)

You're welcome

If you have a 64 bit Mac then a future solution may be possible if you have Java 1.6.x installed.
I don't think that there will be a solution possible for 32 bit Mac OS X and 105.8 because that version has an old Java 1.5.x version.

I just checked the graphics/display under "about this Mac" and its a 32 bit color. I bought it in 09 so its sorta old. haha. i am glad that this problem didn't happen to just me. Thanks Again!
