New to Linux/Firefox. Firefox 3.6 loaded with Linux have downloaded latest version, how(what) do I execute to update Firefox?
I am trying Linux for the first time and downloaded openSUSE and installed it. It loaded Firefox 3.6 and when I go to Firefox internet it tells me that I am not using the latest version. The directions tell me to use a "check for updates" tab under Help. There is no such tab. I have downloaded the updates but have no idea how to execute the program that actually does the update and nothing in Firefox does it automatically. I know this is not hard for someone familiar with Linux/Firefox, but I'm stumped.

If you use the version of Firefox installed by your Linux distribution, then your package manager will be handling its updates instead of Mozilla (openSUSE installed its version, thus openSUSE does the updating). Check your system settings for your package manager to update all programs installed by your distribution, including Firefox to latest 3.6.x.
If you wish to install the newer version of Firefox 7, openSUSE provides its own installers for you.
