Can I block ALL popups?

Some popups are needed. The pop up blocker in Firefox does nothing about JavaScript invoked pop ups, which is now what most of the annoying ones are.

You best solution is to not think of pop up blocking or blocking JavaScript but to install "Adblock Plus" and once installed subscribed to the "EasyList" filter subscription.

For those that are missed by Adblock Plus you can add your own filters. Adblock is not likely to block something that a lot of people do want to see, and your choices may differ, but you can always turn Adblock Plus on or off from its "ADP" toolbar icon.
