Samfind Toolbar ... I want it gone! Help!
I've unmarked the Samfind Toolbar from the View menu dozens of times and it still comes back. I don't remember loading anything Samfind, so who knows how it got there, but I want it gone ... for good.
I have already gone into Firefox add-on list that allows you to uninstall items you no longer want. Samfind does not appear in this list so I can not uninstall it.
Do you have a solution? Thank You!

Hello,
We have never heard of this problem.
Not knowing your level of experience with Firefox, to uninstall go to Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons) and then select Remove next to Samfind.
If that doesn't work, what version of samfind do you have installed? What version of Firefox to you have installed? What other add-ons do you have installed? Do you have a PC or Mac?
There is actually a posting from over a year ago on Firefox with no viable fixes and many people with the same problem. Again over a year ago.
- As noted in my original request I have already gone into Firefox Tools ... Add-ons ..... and Samfind does not show up.
- As noted in my original request Firefox version 13.0.1
I have no idea how to find out what version of Samfind is loaded as I didn't load it. Also there is no "help" to find out the version.
I have quite a few add-ons, but if you never heard of this problem before what diff does it make?
- As noted in original request I am running Vista. My limited knowledge of computers tells me that means I have a PC not a Mac.
- Please do not simply repeat what has already been expressed ***
The posting from a year ago was resolved by removing the traditional way: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/795418?s=samfind&r=0&e=un&as=s
I have no idea why we don't show up. I have our developers looking into how this could be. Why don't you try installing the latest version and removing it. Maybe it will take them both off. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/samfind-bookmarks-bar/

I am actually trying to help you.
Resetting Firefox should get rid of any customizations an extension has added. For info on how to reset Firefox, use the instructions in this link:
