remove bing search
Several updates were installed last night, 02132014, and now Bing hijacks my searches. I've removed bing from my programs and removed Microsoft Search but it still takes over when I try to do a search in the address bar.

hello r2c2nu, please see if you can resolve the issue by running the search reset addon - it will revert the most common customizations those adware programs do in firefox back to the default: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/
since you also have the apphat addon present, which appears to be malicious, also run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner!
