first time answer: Go to Junk filter options General settings The filter is enabled by default. You can set system-wide preferences that determine what happens to messages marked as junk. These settings will be used by all your email accounts (although some settings can be overridden in the account settings, as shown below). To access the preferences, click Tools | Options, select the Security panel and then select the Junk tab. Refers specifically to account's "Junk folder"

second time answer:

Thunderbird does not use a Junk folder. If your email provider does you may need to subscribe to it if you have an IMAP account.

If you are going to try and quote my answer, get it right. I said Thunderbird does not use a SPAM folder. Thunderbird uses the word Junk and not Spam to differentiate from the spam folder that most providers use.

What exactly are you trying to do? Thunderbird will not display a Junk folder until you go into Junk controls and set one up. The default setting for handling of junk in Thunderbird is to add a junk icon beside the message header and place the message in the Inbox. Tools-Account Settings-Junk Settings Email providers usually have a Spam folder. You would need to log into your email account at your providers web mail page to manage those settings.
