For access reasons I need to switch between a Wifi and Cable network to access different systems and when changing between certain networks I'm unable to access any web pages for around 10min through Firefox though I can in other browsers.

Steps to recreate. 1. Start with Wifi off and connected to cabled network 2. Join Wifi network which in case it matters is similar to a hotel wifi system and requires a browser based login after connecting. 3. In Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections (Win 7) I disable the LAN connection forcing the Wifi connection. 4. Firefox continues to work as normal 5. Turn Wifi off. 6. In Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections enable the LAN connection to reconnect to the cabled network (same issue with 5. and 6. reversed) 7. Firefox can't access web sites but other browsers can 8. Wait ~10min 9. Firefox can access web sites as normal.

Let me know if there is any other information that will help debug.

Thanks.

Are you using your own WiFi, or anothers?

Can you make a list of what can be accessed from what (short list please)

WiFi Only | Cable Only | Both

If the WiFi is yours, access it's firewall and check it.

Are you using a network not your own (work , public , whatever)

Hi, The reason for switching was more for context than the source of the issue. Both are work networks, via the cable is the main corporate network and the WiFi is the guest network neither of which I have and admin access to.

So to simplify I can access google via FF both on the cable and WiFi networks but not for the 10min period after switching back from WiFi to cable (were I can't access anything). I can however access google from other browser's during this time. So I don't think there's anything blocking me and the issue seems localized to FF itself (more than happy to be proven wrong if it solves it though).

Are you restarting Firefox after changing the network connection? If not, try that and see if that helps get you a connection faster.
