On one of my Yahoo pages, Ad Block Plus is causing a problem (hard to describe unless I attach a screenshot; let me know if a screenshot will help), but was thinking of Un-installing Ad Block Plus and then re-installing it again to see if this would solve the problem.

How would I un-install Ad Block Plus.......and then re-install it again?

Thank you!

I do not use Adblock Plus myself, but generally speaking, uninstalling and reinstalling and add-on with the same settings would probably give you the same result. ABP must have a feature to make an exception for the current site, or otherwise to fine-tune the display. Probably someone more familiar with its options could tell you exactly where, but you might see whether the ABP toolbar button gives you access to it.

Oops, meant to add: You can disable or remove extensions, and often change their settings, on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the right side, enabled extensions are listed in alphabetical order, followed by disabled ones.

Adblock Plus has their support forum over here. http://adblockplus.org/forum/

Keep in mind that the "Filters" which are used is what does the "blocking". Merely reinstalling Adblock Plus will probably do nothing.

I assume that ABP has a menu item (try click or right-click the ABP toolbar button) to show what content is blocked on a web page and that you can also allow all content and block nothing.

Load the web page. After the page is loaded, click the down arrow next to the AdBlock icon. Now select Disable on <web site>.
