I updated java and it changed what happen when I open another new tab once Firefox is already open. I used to see a grid of the pages I visited in the past. Now I get some stupid page. I want to see my previous pages when I open a second tab. How do I change it back to that option? I cannot find it.

Hi, open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Extensions/Plugins and look for anything unusual.

For security reasons, from Firefox 41, you need to use an add-on to make changes to the New Tab page (the 'grid' you refer to), so some malware may have got installed. You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Note that not all removal programs will detect all malware, so you may need to run several or all of them.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Incidentally - and unrelated. You have 3 versions of Shockwave Flash - which can cause problems, so the oldest 2 should be removed from your machine -

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us. Thank you!
