Is there a way to permaently remove junkmail file not getting email on iphone due it to
many times I mess emails because they do not chow in my "In box on my smart phone or android cell phone. Couple days later when I come home and check my laptop , i see the messages I missed in the " junkmail " file folder. I can then click on that message and "Mark " it and then click it as " not as junk mail . This is good till the next thunderbird update.
My question is not knowing when the next update will come, nor when emails will come is there a way to remove this censorship devise so that i can receive emails on my cell phone when I am not at home . In this case local church sending out songs for service of the coming week .- Music Director sends out songs to members of the audio visual team. Three times I have asked other members if they received emails because mine went into the junk mail file. Not being at home , i thought they had not been sent out yet when they had been. If this Junkmail file could be deleted and all emails could be routed into the regular in box, I could received all incoming messages no matter if I was at home using thunderbird or on cell
In the event an email address is considered junk mail, you can remove it so that it comes back into the inbox by simply clicking on any mail that comes in the junk mail folder click on junk mail click on Mark then click on not as junk mail
Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

The default action for Thunderbird for items it marks as junk is to place the junk icon beside it and leave it in the Inbox. Have you gone into Thunderbird settings and turned on Junk controls? If so did you tell it to move it to another folder? If no to both these questions, it is not Thunderbird doing what you describe.

What is the account type on both, the phone, and the laptop computer - POP or IMAP?
thunderbird server settings shows IMAP, also PORT - 993. My cell phoneis set on POP3. Both use the same email adddress provided by the local cable company.
odd that I get 99% of my messages on both it is just that 1% that i do not get mostly due to thunderbird updates. Bad thing is i do not realize messages have been missed till I check my home computer. Then I have to click tools, view then mark as not as junk mail in order to keep some from keep going into this file till the next update. Bad thing do not know when messages will come in

That would rather indicate there's a spam filter on your email providers server which moves messages to a Spam folder on the server, even before Thunderbird gets them. That will obviously make them unavailable for your phone. Check with your email provider about spam filtering options on the server.

Just wish there was a way to totally remove the junk mail folder -from thunderbird. this way all messages would come into the in box on thunderbird. There is no junkmail folder on my android email . Just in, sent , trash and drafts.
thunderbird was that way until a year or two ago when they added this junkmail folder. Still wish could remove it and let everything come into one folder. to me if it goes into the junk folder, the email provider has done it's job but thunderbird sorts it into the folders. and once it goes in junk, my cell phone does not sync to junk folder because it does not have one .... least that is my simple thinking and I cant see it therefore miss messages

Why would you set a phone to use POP? This will not work that well with a phones limited storage. IMAP was designed for people using multiple devices. Why not use that on all devices and then you can see all folders on the server from anywhere.
