Hi!

Is there a way to enable the Unified folders / Smart Folders functionality when using just one single account? I'm using IMAP with Gmail. My goal is to include sent messages in threaded view. When using more than one account, I know this can be enabled in Folders => Unified, then on the special main Inbox I choose the folders to search and include Sent Mail. However, this folder choosing option is not enabled on the regular Inbox when using just one account. Is there a way to enable this? I found and Addon called "Smart Folders For Single Account" but it hasn't been updated since 2016 and TB suggests not to install. I also tried creating a new Saved Search called Inbox2 that includes all Inbox Messages and Sent Messages. It works but the sorting has bugs. I sort the threaded view by date and expect sent messages to appear sorted, but TB places sent messages at the end of all incoming messages. I re-sort to fix it, but the issue is back whenever I click on another folder and get back to Inbox2.

Hope there's a way to enable Unified folders / Smart Folders functionality when using just one single account.

Thank you in advance.

The Conversations add-on provides this functionality, and it works with a single account. https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/gmail-conversation-view/

Thank you Sfhowes. I'll test it in detail, sometimes I have threads with 100+ conversations. We'll see if performance is affected.

Thank you!
