Tab crash errors
I have just started to encounter Tab Crash errors in FireFox. FireFox usually loads with no problems and runs OK for several minutes, with several Tabs open; but then will start to reprot Tab Crash errors when trying to open new or already open pages. I have tried following the steps on the online support: using latest versions of Firefox and Windows drivers; checked for spyware and malware; opened Firefox in Troubleshooting mode - the errors still occur, even in Troubleshooting mode.
I have one submitted crash report; ID bp-39f08be2-f4d8-486f-87d5-b69ef0240607
very grateful for any help or advice
Gareth

You can create a new profile as a quick test to see if your current profile is causing the problem.
See "Creating a profile":
If the new profile works, you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
Thanks but no joy. I set up a new profile (without transfering any files, bookmarks etc); but experienced exactly the same problems. The FireFox home page seemed to load OK, but any other search or page link created a Tab crash error.
It looks like IBM Trusteer is injecting their DLL into Firefox, and that creates some problems.
Go to about:third-party and try to disable crashing DLLs, if there's any.

Note that the crash report is from CrashTime : Sun, Sep 24 2023 13:16:56 GMT with Firefox 117.0.1 Crash Report [@ AsyncShutdownTimeout | places.sqlite#1: waiting for clients | places.sqlite#1: History.jsm: update (8) ]
No joy. There are no flagged crashing third-party DLLs. I tried blocking IBM Trusteer DLL and restarted FireFox; but still getting same problem.
Try to start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to see if that works.
- Windows: hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox
- Mac: hold down the Options key while starting Firefox
I've run Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode, but with the same crash error.
