firefox keeps showing that I need to up grade firefox but I have the newest one, how to stop it
Keep getting popup message that I need to up grade fire fox, already have the newest one (no 26). Have uninstalled and reinstalled and still get the message, do I need to up grade, Have windows 7.

Your Firefox appears to be the current Firefox 26. Your details aside show the expected Users Agent String:

You did not give full troubleshooting information when posting the question so I do not know what extensions are installed. I will not ask you to provide them at the moment, but do you sometimes uses something that hides the Firefox version or pretends to be something else ?
If not then maybe it is malware or some website trying to scam you. Please provide a screenshot of the message. See
ok I will post a screenshot when it comes up, and I have check my computer out and can not find any malware problems.

rich257, what is your homepage as is it old Firefox start page hosted by Google http://www.google.com/firefox ? as this page has not been maintained by Google ever since Firefox 4.0 was released as the homepage since has bee about:home
