I changed web hosts but kept my old domain name and email addresses and installed new passwords for both mail accounts. when I went into TB it asked me for the new PW and logged in just fine and downloaded new messages but all of the old messages disappeared from the inbox. Is there any way to get then back?

What's been your account type on the old server - POP or IMAP?

type is imap

With IMAP all mail is managed on the server.

The new server obviously knows nothing about the existing messages on the old server.

What you should have done prior to moving your domain to a new provider is to move all messages off of the old server to your 'Local Folders' account.

It's probably too late for that now. So unless you do have a backup of your messages on the old server, they are lost.

Thanks for the reply. I may be able to recover them from the old server.
