I have enjoyed using Thunderbird and Live Mail with my old email address: golondon@rgv.rr.com. I have switched to AT&T and have a new email address: golondon716@att.net. I have changed all the rgv.rr.com addresses to the att.net but still am not receiving emails through Thunderbird What have I done wrong or failed to do?

If you keep messing with your old account you will probably lose all your old emails if you haven't already.

Add your new account to Thunderbird.

From the Menu Bar select File-New-Existing Mail Account

No menu bar? Press the alt key.

If you use the AppMenu button it is under New Message-Existing Mail Account
