I am running Win XP on a 32 bit machine. I have Firefox 36.0.4 installed. After I exit from Firefox some time later I get an error message saying that Firefox has crashed.

I has tried to uninstall it from the Control Panel/Add Remove Programs, but when I select Mozilla Firefox and Remove, nothing happens.

How can I remove Firefox from my PC, so that I can then update it with a later version?

If it doesn't work. Then try these:

  • Start> Run> type regedit
  • Then go to HKey_Local Machine or Hkey_Current User
  • Scroll to software on both those.
  • Look for Mozilla and there you should see Firefox.Delete all Firefox folders you see.
